STATEWIDE INSIGHT - LOCAL EXPERTISE - FROM SUPERIOR TO MILWAUKEE

ABOUT REDLINE PLAN REVIEW

Redline Plan Review provides independent, third-party building plan review and code consulting services to municipalities, architects, engineers, and owners who need clarity, consistency, and confidence in code compliance.

We are here to strengthen the plan review process - not replace local authority. Our role is to support jurisdictions and design teams with thorough, technically grounded reviews that improve construction documents, reduce revisions, and streamline approvals.

Built by Practitioners, Not Paper Pushers

Redline was founded by licensed design professionals and experienced plan reviewers who actively work in architecture and engineering.

We understand how buildings are actually designed, detailed, permitted, and constructed - and we approach plan review as a technical quality-control process, not a checklist exercise. Our reviews focus on identifying real code issues, coordination gaps, and constructability concerns early, when they’re easiest and least expensive to resolve.

What We Do

We provide plan review services, including:
• Delegated review services for municipalities, including all of the required infrastructure to create a workflow that is easy for all parties to navigate
• Building, life safety, and accessibility code reviews
• Energy code and envelope compliance reviews
• Structural coordination and constructability checks
• Peer review and QA/QC for A/E firms
• Pre-submittal and schematic-level code consulting
Our deliverables are clear, well-organized comment letters that cite applicable code sections and focus on actionable corrections - not ambiguity.

Who We Serve

Municipalities seeking specialized expertise and independent review capacity
Architects and Engineers looking for peer review, QA/QC, or risk reduction
Owners and Developers who want early code clarity and fewer surprises during permitting

We regularly work alongside local building officials, respecting local amendments, procedures, and authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) decision-making.

Our Philosophy
• Good plan review should:
• Improve document quality
• Reduce resubmittals and delays
• Support consistent enforcement of adopted codes
• Respect project schedules and public resources

We believe the best outcomes come from collaboration, technical rigor, and practical experience - not bureaucracy.

Regional Knowledge. Broad Capability.
Based in Wisconsin, Redline Plan Review brings deep familiarity with Midwestern construction practices, state-adopted codes, and municipal processes—while supporting projects of varying size and complexity.

Whether we’re acting as an extension of a building department or as a peer reviewer for a design team, our goal is the same: clear, defensible, high-quality plan review that adds real value.
